Following the ongoing success of John Edmond’s album “The Boer war in Song” released in 2011, an album that saw the light when several years ago he stumbled upon a remote British war cemetery in South Africa. He was touched by graves marked “Unknown” and this spurred him into writing his first Boer war song entitled “The Unknown Soldier” opening the door to further research and releasing a flood of dramatic sagas which he documented on that album
With the success of the CD “The Boer War In Song”, battlefield enthusiasts, guides and museums confirmed a demand for a similar album to cover more of the various wars of our country like The Cape Frontier wars, Battles during The Great Trek, Blood River, The Zulu War and more about the first and second Boer wars.
